White high-purity polyaluminum chloride
White polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is the type of PAC with the highest aluminum oxide content and is a high-purity water purification agent. It is produced by spray drying aluminum hydroxide powder and high-purity hydrochloric acid, resulting in a white, high-purity polyaluminum chloride. It is typically in powder form and is quite fine. Its color is usually pure white or milky white. It is relatively easy to decompose or volatilize when exposed to air.

White polyaluminum chloride possesses strong adsorption and bridging properties, rapidly agglomerating impurities in wastewater. Even during hydrolysis, it undergoes electrochemical, coagulation, agglomeration, adsorption, and precipitation reactions, ultimately achieving water purification. It is widely used in industries with high water treatment requirements, such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetic raw materials, drinking water, tap water, industrial wastewater, papermaking wastewater, dyeing and printing wastewater, steel plant wastewater, and oilfield wastewater.
1. It has a very low basicity, only 50%, while ordinary polyaluminum chloride (PAC) has a basicity of around 90%.
2. It is pure white in color, very clean, and remains clear and transparent even after dissolving in water. It will not exhibit any other color, unlike ordinary PAC which tends to turn yellow after dissolving.
3. It has a low water-insoluble content, only 0.3%, while ordinary PAC contains over 2%.
4. It has a high aluminum oxide content, reaching as high as 29.8%, or even higher.
5. White PAC has a very low iron content and dissolves well even in low-temperature water.
First, prepare a 10% concentration liquid solution from solid white high-purity polyaluminum chloride. Add 1.6-3% of this liquid white polyaluminum chloride to the liquid to be sizing, then stir and mix it with the slurry until completely dissolved. This method is similar to that of aluminum sulfate, but the dosage is only a small fraction of aluminum sulfate, approximately 2% to 3%. This will ultimately achieve a water purification effect. This product is typically packaged in double-layered woven plastic bags, with an inner plastic bag, each weighing 50 catties (25 kilograms).
Precautions:
1. White high-purity polyaluminum chloride is a slightly acidic agent and should not be stored with alkaline substances, as this will cause the agent to lose its effectiveness.
2. Do not transport with other chemicals during transportation.
3. Solid white polyaluminum chloride is highly susceptible to moisture when exposed to air and should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated place.
4. If the packaging is properly stored, the shelf life is over one year, while the liquid version only has a shelf life of 3-6 months.
