Basic aluminum chloride, often referred to as black polyaluminum chloride, is a novel inorganic polymeric electrolyte coagulant. It is a hydrolysis product resulting from the interaction between aluminum oxide and aluminum hydroxide. Its molecular formula is [Al₂(OH)₂Cl₆₁₀n]ₘ.

Basic aluminum chloride is a water purification agent formed through refined polymerization of industrial-grade aluminum slag, aluminum ash, and activated bauxite as processing raw materials. It possesses the performance characteristics of polyaluminum chloride while also having the high activity of activated carbon. It is typically black and granular. It exhibits unique water purification effects, particularly in industrial wastewater, paper mill wastewater, and dyeing wastewater. When used as a coagulant, basic aluminum chloride consumes less alkalinity from the water than other inorganic coagulants, resulting in a significant reduction in pH during water treatment. Especially in treating high-concentration wastewater, it eliminates the need for other alkaline additives or coagulant aids, and its decolorization performance is unparalleled by other inorganic water purification agents.

1) First, prepare the water purification equipment. Add solid basic aluminum chloride to tap water for dilution, with a ratio of approximately 2%-20%.

2) Before adding basic aluminum chloride, conduct experiments to determine the optimal dosage. A commonly used dosage is 15 grams of the reagent per ton of water.

3) The most suitable dosage ratio should be determined based on the turbidity of the water in different regions and the specific industries using the water purification process.

4) Basic aluminum chloride has a shelf life of two years. It is best stored in a dry, well-ventilated place. Even if the reagent becomes damp, its water purification effect will not be affected.

Precautions:

During transportation, it must not be transported together with other toxic or harmful chemicals. This product is packaged in double-layer sealed bags. The inner layer is a polyethylene plastic bag free of any toxic substances, and the outer layer is a double-layer plastic woven bag. Each bag weighs 50 catties (approximately 25 kg). Different woven bag designs and lettering can be customized to your requirements. During storage, choose a dry, well-ventilated place and avoid wind and sun exposure.
