In sludge dewatering, the choice of sludge dehydrator is very important. Sludge dewatering is mainly based on the addition of polyacrylamide (PAM) flocculant, which is pressed by the filter press, and the filter cloth is the foundation of the dehydration effect of the filter press. If the polyacrylamide (PAM) flocculant is chosen incorrectly or used incorrectly, the cloth can become clogged or even need to be replaced. Below, polyacrylamide (PAM) flocculant manufacturers will share the precautions for polyacrylamide (PAM) in the sludge dewatering process to avoid polyacrylamide (PAM) clogging or sticking to the filter cloth.
The main problem with polyacrylamide (PAM) clogging filter cloth is that it is not completely dissolved or used too much, followed by improper agent selection. These problems are easy to occur in small factories with simple equipment and simple environments. Polyacrylamide (PAM) powder needs to be dissolved before adding, stirring at a speed not greater than 60 rpm for about 1 hour until completely dissolved. Small factories have almost no automatic dosing devices and automatic mixing equipment, and dosing basically relies on manual mixing. In order to save time and convenience, many workers make the dissolution and mixing time of the agent too short, resulting in the product not completely dissolved, and the incompletely dissolved product is pressed together after entering the sludge, so it will block the filter cloth and filter.
In response to these problems, Henan Laixing Water Purification put forward several suggestions:
If you use polyacrylamide (PAM) products for a long time, you can purchase a set of automatic dissolution dosing equipment, and the overall calculation cost will be greatly saved.
If conditions and capabilities do not allow it, technical training for operators can be strengthened, the effects of negligence can be understood, and proficient in the dissolution, addition and use of polyacrylamide (PAM).
According to the volume of the mixing tank, after adding the product in a good proportion, continue to stir for no less than 30 minutes until completely dissolved.
If the level of the polyacrylamide (PAM) aqueous solution is lower than the mixer blades, the mixer can be turned off when the agent is added to the sewage, otherwise, it is not necessary to turn it off and continue mixing.
The dissolved aqueous solution should be used up as soon as possible. The solution that has not been used for a long time will lose its effect, and it is easy to dry in the mixing tank, so it needs to be cleaned before use.
The mixing tank should be cleaned regularly to remove undissolved chemicals and impurities from the bottom of the tank.
